Generally speakiing, it is our experience that people would like the answer to at least one of the following four questions. Not by chance, but the four questions also serves as the basis of wealth planning and thus these four questions are the foundation of the HWA process and services.
1. Where am I at financially?
The beginning of any journey is to understand where you are starting from. To answer this question you must get financially ORGANIZED. The elements of this questions can take many forms such as knowing where your money is at or understanding the what you have.
2. Where would I like to go?
There are two ways to live your life, by happenstance or by design. For those of you that like to live your life by design you most likely have asked yourself this question or one similar to it. Will I have enough to retire? Can we afford to go on that vacation? These questions also include "what ifs?" What if something should happen to me or my spouse? These are just some of the questions our clients have. To answer this question you must have a financial PLAN that identifies all your goals and concerns and design a plan to achieve it.
3. How do I get there?
Once a course of action has been determined, you must do the work to IMPLEMENT it. You may want some help implementing the plan or you may want to do it yourself.
4. How do I know that I'm on track?
This question is the most essential question in our industry because of the subjectivity of the wealth planning process. If you were to ask any number of financial planners how to acheive a set of goals you would recieve as many financial plans. The question becomes, how do I know that my plan will achieve my goals? The scariest thing that could happen to anyone is to proceed with a given course of action only to find ourt that the path was wrong. Thus, constant MONITORING is crucial to achieving your goals.
